Thanksgiving

We are so lucky to live close enough to home that we get to go there almost every holiday!!! It has been really nice with all the semester changes that we now get almost a whole week and half off for Thanksgiving. It makes the 14 hour drive worth it! We took our car this trip and drove with Michael, Michelle, and their dog Lucy! I left my camera out a lot and never took any pictures so there are only a couple, oh well...there is always Christmas.

Lucy had the best seat in the car. That little dog just laid where ever she wanted!

Obviously car trips are not the best for taking pictures, but here is michelle and mikey.

These little girls are so fun. They are all dressed up because they threw a little Chinese dinner for craig and debby's anniversary! Helpful little servers.

Hanging out with their uncle!

hahahaha

22 BABY!!!

Chewy's birthday was on November 19th, I know I know, I'm almost a month late but these late 4 four weeks have insane. Anyways, here is the first picture of the day. I made him breakfast in bed hmmmm....bagel, sausage, omelet, and orange juice. We never buy orange juice so this was a extra special treat for him!!! He looks like he is on drugs in the morning!

First present he opened in bed....ooo what is it??

His crazy hot chocolate. Every time we would go to Wal-Mart we always go to the Christmas food aisle and he would stare at this hot chocolate packet!

He last two gifts, Labyrinth (hate it) and chocolates (love it). I felt a little bad giving him food for his birthday, but I kept it all, most of it, in the budget and he liked it!

Michelle and Michael had us over to birthday cake and ice cream later that night. Michelle made funfetti cake, my favorite and I think Chewy's too, it was a lot of fun!

Chewy Cooking

What happens when you ask your husband to help make brownies when he has never really cooked before.....? This happens!!!! hahahah!!!! Actually, I was making brownies. I asked Chewy to get an egg out of the fridge. He gets it out, puts it on the counter, it rolls off and breaks. So, I tell him that he has to clean up. He looks me and ask how!? hahaha ooo Chewy. I tell him to first pick up the shell and throw it into the garbage, use yous hand I said. I then turn around and hear him saying "gross, oh gross", and he was attempting to pick up the entire mashed egg with his fingers, yolk and everything!!!! I must have forgotten to tell him to use a paper towel to pick up the rest of the egg. Then again--he should have known that! Oh, I love Chewy!

Mesa Falls

The weather has been incredible. I said this almost a month ago, and we have yet to see snow and ice. Not only is it not snowing, but it is sunny and warm! We decided to take advantage of the great weather and show Chewy some of the cites of Idaho while we still can. Once we hit the sand dunes I told him we had to go to Mesa Falls. It is the last untouched waterfall in Idaho!!! First stop on the way...Big Juds. It is a hamburger place on the way up to Ashton Idaho (45 minute drive). They have the best burgers. You can see that chewy is quite excited we made it. Too bad his burger was burnt, hahaha, he did not enjoy it very much. I however loved mine!

So excited...so sad that he didn't even like it. But it makes me laugh

Once we got to Mesa Falls there are a bunch of stairs you have to take to get down to the water fall. The roads were completely clear, but we got a little surprise once we got to Mesa Falls, and the stairs. Ice EVERYWHERE....luckily, no one fell.

Here's the falls. They look a lot better in person. We have decided that we need an extra person to always come along with us, just so we can have decent pictures of the two of us.

It was sunny, but still freezing. That is all ice behind me. Covering the side of the mountain.

On the way home from Mesa Falls we stopped at this cool trail on the side of road. We did not realize how muddy it was going to be. Also, I might have forgot to mention to Chewy there was a little scary tunnel at the end...muhahaha

Luckily for him it was closed down that day. But I did make him walk a little into. This him looking back. Tears of fright in his eyes.

Waving goodbye!!!!

The DUNES...

In Rexburg (a little outside of Rexburg) there are huge sand dunes. Me and my roommates would always go out there and have big bonfires. People bring their four wheelers and go all around. Well, Chewy has never even seem them. So two nights ago we decided to take a little trip up there. Since we are poor, starving college students we didn't want to buy fire wood. So we took blankets and dressed warm-- too bad that didn't work-- it was FREEZING!!! Oh well, it was free (except for gas) and fun.

Chewy- with his flash light. He didn't want to get scared of the dark (hehe)

Our little place on top of one of the dunes. Coats, sweatshirt, and blankets did not cut it. We should have made a fire. However, we did get a pretty good view of all the stars.

The cold made us CRAZY!!! There was also this loud noise. It sounded like there was a pack of wolves waiting to attack. Chewy made us leave early...well, that might have been me.

Came home, put on our matching/opposite sweats and drank hot chocolate

Wreath Making

Since we have decorated for Christmas I have been wanting a wreathe to put on my door, but they are so expensive. It was $40.00 for some, and they weren't even that cute. So, we went to Porters (the best craft store in the world) and I made myself a wreathe. Best part...it was $10.00 for all the supplies, including the wreathe itself!!!!!

Halloween straight to Christmas

We woke up the day after Halloween (November 1st) in case anyone didn't know, and we got so excited for Christmas. We sat on our couch and planned out all the decorations for our apartment. We tore down the Halloween decorations and went straight to wal-mart, (pretty much the only place to shop in Rexburg) and went Christmas crazy! Yup, that was our Saturday, making Christmas happen, the first of November!

If you look carefully you can see that chewy is holding up Christmas decorations, along with his back pack. He was suppose to go the library, but he couldn't help but want to come home and help me decorate. He is so bad!

These have to be the funniest stalkings. Wal-Mart..YAH!!!!

Our Christmas Tree!!! So small, but so cute...

NOT...now this is our Christmas tree...just the perfect size for our place. Our neighbors probably think we are crazy for putting up Christmas so early...just wait till we do the outside!~

Our REAL first Halloween

What do you do when you are married, no kids, and it is Halloween night? Well, the answer is...not much! Just kidding. We passed out candy to the tick-or-treaters that actually came to our apartment. There were some cute little kids. We made halloween sugar cookies, which made us sick, and then went bowling. I know, just the two of us, it was--kind of fun! I reccommend bowling with more than just two people. It was a fun, scare free, night.

Yes, we made home-made sugar cookies. It took forever, and our kitchen was just too small!!! I felt like a little slave rolling dough all night.

But they turned pretty good, if I do say so myself. We made pumpkins, cats, witches, and ghosts.

Chewy was in charge of icing the witches. He went all out. Green faces, black hair and cape, and a white broom stick, he is so talented.

Happy Halloween

Our first Halloween together...ahh. We got the best looking pumpkin ever! You can tell Chewy is just begging for a little baby. I must tell him no, everyday! You would be amazed how wonderful the weathering has been here. By now everything in Rexburg should be covered in snow and ice. But there is not a snowflake insight. We were wearing t-shirts the other day. It is insane!!! It has been a great fall.

Carving our pumpkin. He got to do the dirty part.

And I got the fun part. The important part

We got called to the activity committee for our ward. Our first activity was the Halloween Party. It was a BLAST, but a lot of work. We only have fifty families in our ward (which usually consist of two people). I can't imagine planning an activity for my home ward...like 900 members or something! We got pretty creative with our costumes. Seeing as money is a little tight, we went as white trash--literally. White trash bags (free) and trash (also free). Ok, no it is not actually trash, just lots of newspapers crumbled up. It was a hit.

These are neighbors and good friends Kaile and Cambria. They are hilarious, they went as nerds!!! I think they played the part pretty well...and so did we...white trash!

One of the activities we were in charge of was a pie eating contest. Yes, I made all the pies, all 15 of them. ok ok they were just pudding pies, but still, a lot of work. Of course me and chewy participated, and of course he ate the pie.

And of course it got all over his face

And of course it got all over my face as well.

Michelle's birthday was on the 26th. We made Monica's home made pizza and had dinner together! It was a lot of fun. Oh and Michelle turned 24...wo!

Instead of a cake Michael got her cupcakes from the cupcake factory. They were SO good. Ate one to many I think?!

HONEYMOON

My parents sent us on a cruise for our Honeymoon. It was the best vacation we have ever had! We left out of LA and went down to San Diego, Catalina Island, and Ensenada Mexico. Chewy and me decided that cruising is our new hobby. If only we could afford to do it...

This is a view from our second hotel room in California, the day before our cruise left. We thought the ship behind us was our ship...we were mistaken.

Now this our room on the cruise ship! It was tiny, but had a great view, and it prepared us for our future apartment!

The muster drill was quite some fun. I just learned that it is not the "mustard" drill, but muster, that could have been embarrassing! Luckily, we never had to wear those crazy life vests again.

On the boat, beautiful view!!!

This is me cracking open a clam in San Diego, and there was a pearl in it, woo-hoo. The shuttle from the ship took us to only one place, this store called Hilo Hattie...boo!!!! But hey, I got a pearl from it.
Every night after we came back from our delicious dinners, there was always some animal on our bed. Tonight it was a elephant. One night our room guy made a sloth out of our towels.

hmmm! Every night we ate like we were seriously millionaires, and it was FREE!!! You could have as many appetizers, entrees, and desserts as you wanted. Steak, potatoes, salad, chocolate cake, pasta....probably the best part....the food!

Catalina Islands was our favorite port. We were right on the ocean and it was beautiful. We went snorkeling, and the little town had so many cute shops. Don't we look tan!?!??

Notice anything about this picture? This is a sign naming all the churches in the town...see ours!?

That's our ship behind us! We miss it!

Yup, this was embarrassing. Another amazing part of the cruise was room service 24 HOURS!! So, we finally decided to order some, and we got a lot. I'm chilling in our cubicle waiting for my warm chocolate chip cookies, in my onesie (aka pajamas)...as you can see, when the guy finally comes. Instead of Chewy just taking the plate from the guy, he invites him in to place it on our chair, and I'm just hanging out-- a grown woman in a leopard onesie!!! At least the food was good.

Oh my gosh, this would be a CHOCOLATE BUFFET, for the whole ship, and it was at midnight!!!!! Ya, that tiger back there is made out of nothing but chocolate. wonderful!

Chewy brought his plate back to the room! I couldn't help myself, I just kept eating through out the buffet, then got sick. I think he made himself sick too...too much chocolate

Boo...the cruise is over! Waiting for our airplane to go home...Can't wait to go again.
